When I went to the Netherlands last year for the first time, I couldn’t get over how picture-perfect Amsterdam was. Flower boxes on window sills, people sitting and chilling out on their house stairs, drinking dutch beer and having good time. Couples mixed with party people on boats in the canals, all the restaurants with great food and atmosphere… The people are friendly, the city is clean, the public transit is efficient, and the whole city is drenched in history. It was like one picturesque postcard after another. I’m hardly missing the sound of bicycle bells, all the beautiful houses everywhere, breathtaking architecture, our breakfasts at Bagels&Beans in Keizersgracht, drinking Brouwerij’ and Amstel beer in the evening and much much more…
When it comes to fashion, Amsterdam women love it casual and comfy. In summer they wear mostly beautiful summer dresses with flats or sneakers. Heels are no good on bicycles, but there are also girls they are rocking a bike ride in heels. I think I would die there even trying it. Dutch girls prefer pubs and bars to nightclubs or fancy cocktail bars so their style is pretty easy and simple. Here’s one of my outfits I wore in Amsterdam. This patch dress I bought in a shop in The Nine Little Streets, one of my favourite places in this city! But more I’ll tel you in my next travel post about our second stay in Amsterdam! I love the funky patches and style of this simple shirt dress. Perfectly paired with a pop of red color on my lips and my comfy Tommy Hilfiger sandals.
