Salty Skin Treatment

Salty Skin TreatmentBringing sea salt from the kitchen into your beauty routine can help balance, improve hydration and strengthen the protective barrier of your skin. Sea salt is a natural detoxifier, as the salt absorbs the toxins from the skin. I am doing this quick and easy DIY at home SeaSalt Skin Treatment every year in spring / summer time. I have always loved the smell of the sea, salty water, sand under my feet, fresh warm breeze in my hair… well, who doesn’t?

So kick-start your skin routine with me! And don’t be afraid, it works well on all skin types. Salt calms breakouts and irritation, so it’s good for sensitive skin and for those who deal with acne. I recommend doing this skin treatment in the evening, or before going to bed.

1.) START WITH CLEAN SKIN – For a deep cleanse I use an electric cleaning brush (mine is from Tchibo) with my favorite cleaning gel at the moment – from La Roche-Posay

2.) FACE STEAMING – It helps to increase circulation in your face and opens your pores. Pour hot water into a bowl and hold your face over the steaming water for about 10 minutes.

4.) EXFOLIATE + DEEP MOISTURE – Gently scrub on your face in a circular motion, rinse and wash your face with lukewarm water. Now you need to hydrate your skin with moisturizers! After a skin treat like this, I love to use deep moisturizers such as face oils or creams like the 24-Hour Moisturizing & Brightening Wild Rose Cream from Korres I fell in love with weeks ago.
